Audrey style gets celebrity salute - The Sun

It is no wonder so many female celebs seem to want to be Audrey Hepburn.

Her doppelgnger Anne Hathaway appears on the front cover of next month's Vogue dressed as the slight star describing her experience as "true glamour".

The 27-year-old Devil Wears Prada star appeared in Vogue sporting the memorable Breakfast At Tiffanys look, in dripping pearls and LBD, as well posing on a sweeping staircase in a full-length embellished gown and leaving a vintage car in a flowing white dress.

But Anne is just one of many famous faces who have chosen to pose as the My Fair Lady star in past and present.

Paris Hilton, Coleen Rooney, Kelly Brook, Anna Friel and even cycling champ Victoria Pendleton have all dressed as the glamour-puss for photoshoots in magazines.

Cheryl Cole has also cited her as a fashion influence, and Victoria Beckham has styled both her wardrobe and hair with the vintage fashion siren in mind.

Audrey's infamous little black dress, her most famous outift, topped a poll of best female screen outfits of all time earlier this year and it sold for 410,000 back in 2006 at auction.

So why all the fuss? Because she is timeless, says Sun Deputy Fashion Editor Saskia Quirke.

"Audrey Hepburn was stylish, sophisticated and most importantly timeless, which is why celebrities are still hankering after her look now.

"From her iconic Breakfast at Tiffany's frock to the waist-cinched Oscars dress, she was as stylish off duty as she was on set.

"And now is the perfect time to get the star's look with 1950s fashion being a huge hit on the autumn winter catwalks.

"Hit designers at Debenhams to pick up a black evening gown and team it with pearls to get the Holly Golightly look.

"Tesco also has great Roman Holiday-esque A-line dresses for bargain prices."
