Rachel Zoe the celebrity stylist turned designer has unveiled her spring collection at this year's (2011) New York Fashion Week.
The 40-year-old star of hit TV show The Rachel Zoe Project spoken to the Associated Press about her inspiration "My inspiration is really very simple. It's Brigitte Bardot, South of France, late 60s, early 70s, kind of running around - super glamorous - not trying to be, she just is." She was also accompanied by her husband and new 5-month-old son, and was asked which was scarier, giving birth or standing in front of the fashion aristocracy, to which she answered "Both equally scary for totally different reasons. I'd be lying if I didn't say it was hard, but it's so much easier than I thought it would be," Zoe continued. "The baby just adds so much life to your life that it makes everything easier in a way."
Born in New York City the stylist joined the fashion world with no formal training and began as a freelance stylist. Her first clients included Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton and is currently working with fellow high-profile celebrities such as Demi Moore, Liv Tyler and Eva Mendes. She has also collaborated with a variety of fellow designers including accessories designer Judith Leiber to design a range of luxury hand bags.
