Cheryl Cole launched back into the celebrity spotlight this week, launching her own range of shoes with online fashion site Stylistpick. Cole, who has made few public appearances since her acrimonious exit from the U.S. X Factor, arrived at a launch party in London - but it was her new hair style that made the headlines.
According to the UK's Daily Mail, Cole turned up to the exclusive bash wearing a "larger than life" beehive reminiscent of Marge Simpson's famous blue locks. She teamed the new style with a gold headband while also wearing a scarlet satin dress with cut out panels. The Girls Aloud star posted a snap of herself enjoying a cocktail on Twitter, adding, "It's shoe time.Haha ;-)" Band mate Nicole Roberts was on hand to support her close friend, and the pair were snapped posing together. They had reunited with Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh the previous night, although Irish singer Nadine Coyle did not attend. Cole's first shoe collection will hit shelves in December, shortly before Christmas. Stylistpick's chief creative officer Juliet Warkentin said, "We are thrilled to be working with Cheryl. Cheryl is the style icon and is amazingly warm, a quality that has made her the nation's favourite. We believe that the launch will have a huge fashion impact; establishing fashion's greatest influencer as a major force in fashion design and further democratising fashion".
Although Cheryl Cole's new hair style has already won her praise on Twitter - the look is similar to the one she adopted during her time on the U.S. X Factor. She came in for heavy criticism from the American fashion press.
