One in four Australian children is obese by the time they turn 18.
The health crisis has motivated The Biggest Loser personal trainers to take on their biggest challenge yet – turn Australian children into the world’s healthiest kids.
This year, Shannan and Michelle will continue their work as ambassadors for Let’s Live Better, an exciting community initiative that will take the healthy living message to more than 300 schools across Australia.
Let’s Live Better is a program from Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) shopping centres in partnership with the Children’s Food Education Foundation (CFEF) aimed at educating children about how to “live better” by encouraging them to include fresh foods in their diet and to exercise regularly.
Shannan and Michelle will visit two lucky schools as part of the campaign to serve up healthy canteen food and challenge students to their exciting aerobics lesson. Their healthy living messages will also be beamed into schools across the country as they vie to win a $40,000 Canteen Rescue.
The campaign is aimed at educating children about the healthy foods that should go into their shopping trolley each week and encouraging them to share this knowledge with their parents and other family members.
